Brief Biography
Dr. Griffiths has taught courses in sports
pharmacology at Nova Southeastern University and
Brigham Young University and published articles on
phonophoresis, stretching, and muscle adaptation to
training. She has degrees in exercise physiology and
athletic training from Miami University and Brigham
Young University. Prior to earning her PhD, Dr.
Griffiths worked as a clinical athletic trainer in
the collegiate and clinical settings. Dr. Griffiths
and her husband live in Jackson, Tennessee and have
a daughter.
Brief Description of Presentation
The presentation will briefly overview the
current literature on NSAIDS and sports injury.
Emphasis will be on the clinical application of the
research for the athletic trainer.
