Anthony Pass Sr., ATC, LAT, CSCS
I have been with the
University of Florida for three years. We won a
national Championship in Football last year. I have
worked in the NFL and college levels for the past
nine years. Graduate studies at the University of
Houston, and undergraduate at the University of
Colorado.
Jeff Allen, MS, ATC
Head
football athletic trainer at the University of
Alabama since June of 2007. Served as head athletic
trainer at the University of Central Florida and
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and also as
an assistant athletic trainer at the University of
Kentucky.
Married to Mary Allen. Seven year-old daughter,
Makennah
Brief Description of
Presentation
African American
defensive lineman with known history of sickle cell
trait presented complaining of severe low back pain
immediately following a strenuous afternoon
practice. Symptoms escalated from what initial
seemed to be a muscle strain to Rhabdomyolysis and
Sickle Cell Pain crisis. The athlete spent 15 days
in the hospital and remains on narcotic medication 8
weeks since the onset.
