Brief Biography of
Speaker
Marisa Brunett, MS, ATC,
LAT is the Director of Sports Medicine for CORA
Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Clinics-Florida
where she is responsible for implementing and
managing all aspects of the sports medicine programs
for outpatient rehabilitation clinics and outreach
athletic training throughout the state of Florida.
Marisa has actively served as a member of the SEATA
Executive Board since 2001 and currently serves as
the SEATA Vice-President. She is the Chair of the
SEATA Public Relations committee and represents
District IX as a member on the NATA’s PR Committee.
Marisa has served ATAF, her state association in
various positions including President and Past
President. She has been very active with the BOC as
an examiner, Test Site Administrator, member of the
Test Development Group; Qualified Examiner’s
Facilitator and represented District IX on the Exam
Administration Committee. Marisa also served as the
District IX Representative on the NATA’s Governance
Task Force, as well as Host Committee Chair for the
1996 Annual NATA Clinical Symposium in Orlando,
FL. Marisa was appointed in June 2008 by Florida
Governor Crist to serve as a member of Florida’s
Department of Health Board of Athletic Training.
Marisa was inducted into the ATAF Hall of Fame in
April 2008 and has been the recipient of the NATA
Service Award, SEATA District Award, BOC Dan Libera
Service Award and the ATAF “Athletic Trainer of the
Year”, “Presidential Backbone” and
“Clinical/Industrial Athletic Trainer of the Year”
Awards.
