Brief Biography of
Speaker
Pradeep Vanguri is an
Assistant Professor in the Department of Math,
Science, and Technology and serves as the Clinical
Coordinator for the Athletic Training Education
Program. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree
from East Carolina University (Greenville, NC) in
Exercise Science and his Master of Science Degree in
Education from North Carolina State University
(Raleigh, NC). Upon completing his graduate work he
served as Assistant Professor and Assistant Athletic
Trainer in the Athletic Training Education Program
at Barton College (Wilson, NC) in the Department of
Physical Education and Sport Studies. He then
completed his Doctor of Philosophy Degree in
Department of Instructional Leadership at The
University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, AL) where he also
served as graduate assistant in the undergraduate
Athletic Training Education Program.
Brief Description of
Presentation
This session will
address the issues surrounding millennial students
in athletic training education and beyond. Through
research, case studies, and group discussion this
session will explore potential barriers and provide
possible solutions to bridge the divide between
faculty and students.
