The 3rd Biennial SEATA Athletic Training Educators' Conference will be held Feb. 4-6, 2010 at the Crown Plaza Ravinia Hotel in Atlanta, GA.  Bud Cooper, EdD., ATC of the University of Georgia and Karen Lew, MEd, ATC of Southeastern Louisiana University are the conference co-chairs.  To qualify for the 3rd Biennial Athletic Training Educators' Conference pre-registration NATA member cost of $160, pre-registration forms must be completed online at https://www.signup4.net/Public/ap.aspx?EID=SEAT46E by Friday, January 25, 2010.  NATA members who have not registered by this date must register on-site for $210.  Non-NATA member pre-registration is $205.00 and $255.00 for on-site. The SEATA Athletic Training Educators' Conference Committee is issuing two calls for proposals:

Research
The SEATA Research and Education Committee is issuing a call for poster presentation abstracts that will be reviewed for possible display at the 3rd Biennial SEATA Educators’ Conference on Feb. 3-6, 2010 in Atlanta, GA.  Individuals interested in sharing original research, or other scholarly work that is relevant to athletic training clinical practice or education, are encouraged to submit by the Nov. 2, 2009 deadline.  Abstracts will be rated on the basis of clarity of purpose, appropriateness of methods, adequacy of results, relevance of findings to the clinical practice of athletic training or the education of athletic training students, and value of the information to conference attendees.  Go to www.seata.org/CallforAbstractsEdConf2010.pdf for more information.
