The NATA
Fellows program recognizes professional achievement in
research and/or education, combined with service to the
profession. Only the most accomplished scholars in the
athletic training profession earn this distinction and
are allowed to use the prestigious designation of “FNATA.”
By applying
for and gaining Fellows status, NATA members pledge
their continued commitment to the athletic training
profession and the NATA.
Requirements
NATA
Fellows candidates must:
-
Be
certified members of the NATA for 10 consecutive
years at the time of application
- Have
earned a diploma at least five years prior, from an
accredited college/university with a Doctor of
Philosophy, Doctor of Education, Doctor of Arts or
Doctor of Medicine, Osteopathy, Dentistry or
Podiatry, or an equivalent degree
- Not
be a current member of the NATA Board of Directors,
the Foundation Board of Directors or the Fellows
Committee.
