From the District IX Director, R.T. Floyd

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the significant number of you who have contacted me directly or indirectly to express your concerns regarding the change of the NATA logo.  I am always pleased to hear from members who are passionate about their profession and association.  Due to your feedback, I believe I understand your concerns and will be taking this issue back to the NATA Board for further discussion.  You should also know that your SEATA Executive Board has represented you well on this issue and is extremely supportive of the NATA Board continuing to look into this issue.

While I very much value your involvement on this issue, I sincerely hope we can count on many more of you for a higher level of engagement on the greater issues that face our profession.  Every member needs to be engaged and participate fully in all of our elections, calls to actions, etc.  Issues such as building support for the passage of our federal legislation through making Congressional contacts require an unwavering level of passion and ongoing commitment.  You can make a difference in protecting and advancing your profession with your continued engagement.

Thanks for your passion!

Sincerely,
R.T. Floyd, EdD, ATC

SEATA P & P Manual Revision Approved

The SEATA Executive Board has approved a major revision of the SEATA Policies and Procedures Manual which is now posted at www.seata.org/SEATAP&PMan07-07-08.doc.  We are very grateful for the numerous suggestions provided the many members who assisted with proofing and content revision.  Additional minor changes will be made to reconcile potential conflicts with the recently approved SEATA By-Law and other changes within SEATA and the NATA.
