In an effort to
maximize communication among the members of District IX, a
listserve has been set up. SEATA members can subscribe, or
join, the group and post, or e-mail, messages to the group
and have those messages broadcast to every other
subscriber automatically. A listserve provides a way to
get information to (or from) a large number of people in
an efficient and timely manner.
While all topics shared on the list may not be of interest
to all members, please remember that we have members in
many varied settings. A message that is of great interest
to one member may be of no interest to another member.
Please be patient as the shoe may be on the other foot one
day. A post of great relevance to you will come through
that means nothing to a colleague. A digest version of
email messages is also available to members as well.
In the past, the SEATA listserve was based on a server at
Georgia College & State University. I am very grateful for
this service, but the listserve has now been moved to a
server on Yahoo. The Yahoo system offers many new features
for our members and will continue to be tremendous asset
for our Association. Members may subscribe to the list
with any email address--a Yahoo email address is not
required. Full access to the listserve site, includes
access to online documents, member information, past
postings, etc. Full access is free to all members.

monthly help file will be distributed each month with
information regarding the listserve.
