The TATS Jackson Regional Meeting will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2010, on the campus of Union University.   The meeting will be held in Harvey Hall from 9am-11am.  Dr. Hutchison of West Tennessee Bone and Joint Clinic will be speaking on "Current Trends in Arthroscopic Knee and Shoulder Surgery" for the educational portion of the program.  One CEU will be awarded.
 

The Spring Fling Regional TATS gathering is on Thursday, May 27, 2010, in the Murphy Center Room 104 from 8:00-10:00am.  Dr. Michael Jordan will be speaking on ACL prevention and his surgical approach from 8:00-9:00 with the town hall meeting from 9:00-10:00.
 

The inaugural TATS regional gathering was hosted by Robb Duncanson and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in Pratt Pavilion on March 2, 2010.  The meeting featured an excellent CEU presentation on "Cardiac Issues in Athletics" by Dr. Chris Klenck of the Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic.  Dr. Klenck also serves as team physician at UT.

Two of our new officers were there.  Peggy Bratt, Secretary and Chris Snoddy, President, addressed the 35 TATS members in attendance on several issues in a town-hall style format.  The meeting was definitely a success, and should lay the groundwork for the Regional Format for future meetings.  Please be sure to visit the TATS website often to catch future meetings held in your area.  For TATS to continue building upon its strengths, input from members is vital to our future.
 

We will be sending out a member survey soon.  Please take the time to complete this survey as it will provide us with valuable information on how to serve the membership more effectively.
