7th Biennial SEATA Athletic Training Educators' Conference

The 7th Biennial SEATA Athletic Training Educators’ Conference will be held March 9, at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia Hotel in Atlanta, GA, in conjunction with the 43rd Annual SEATA Clinical Symposium & Members' Meeting.  This year’s SEATA ATEC theme is “Transformation in Athletic Training Education” and will feature model practice presentations and plenary sessions as well as an update from the CAATE.  The program is intended for educators and healthcare professionals involved in student education within a CAATE accredited program.

Troy University are the co-chairs of the ATEC Planning Committee.  


Education

Through plenary sessions and the model practice showcase, this year's meeting is designed to provide the attendees the opportunity to:

  • Review strategies for successful transition to athletic training graduate studies.
  • Address best practices for online or hybrid education.
  • Outline barriers to effective IPE implementation and explain and differentiate assessment instruments used in interprofessional education.
  • Examine clinical instruction strategies and clinical experience evaluation tools to help engage student learning in narrowing the theory application gap.
  • ​Practice activities to promote an educational environment of inclusivity.

Registration

All attendees must register online using the link below. ATEC registration fees are $100 for NATA members and $185 for non-NATA members.  Members also wishing to attend the SEATA Clinical Symposium & Members' Meeting on Thursday and Saturday can do so for the reduced rate of only $150 for BOTH conferences.  NATA Members that reside outside of District Nine should email SEATA Secretary to take advantage of the member discount.  Advanced registration ends February 25, 2018.  Due to space restrictions, registration is limited to 100 participants.  If seats are still available, On-Site registration will include an additional $25 fee.  Online payment at the time of registration is encouraged.  Optional payment methods include group/University check or personal check. If using check or group payment, please send registration confirmation information for each registrant along with the check and/or College/University/Group payment to: Timothy L.
